CHAPEL WINDOW MEMORY PATCHWORK PROJECT: SECOND SESSION ON FRIDAY 19th OCTOBER

Following the very successful Textile project, led by Fiona Gurney last year, the Trustees are delighted to offer another creative project that will be planned and developed with Fiona’s guidance. It is hoped that members of the original group will wish to meet again and be involved with the project.  Newcomers will also be most welcome.

Diamond window panes will be made using fabric that prompts memories, supplied by all participants. There will be a few sessions, during October and November,  in the Reading Rooms, Holbeach to discuss and plan the work. Participants will then work on sections at home, using recycled fabrics, outgrown clothes, scraps from your mending box, battered overalls – anything will be considered!

It is hoped that the finished creation will hang on one of the windows in the Chapels.

The stunning results of last year’s project are now hanging proudly in the  entrance hallway of AYSCOUGHFEE HALL, SPALDING.

If you are interested in becoming involved please contact:  JENNY WORTH on 01406 422319   or

This initiative is being funded by AWARDS FOR ALL LOTTERY FUNDING.
