HERITAGE OPEN DAY: SATURDAY, 9th SEPTEMBER

THIS IS AN OPEN DAY NOT TO BE MISSED – whether you have visited the Chapels before or whether it will be a first visit, the Trustees promise it will be a very special occasion.

TEXTILE PROJECT EXHIBITION – this will be the first opportunity to view  all eight of the incredibly beautiful panels that have  been created by over 20 local volunteers and many local schoolchildren, led by Fiona Gurney.  It will help people to understand how spectacular the Chapels could look if refurbished, so that the panels may have a permanent home.

CEMETERY TRAILS – once again led by Linden Secker from        11.00 a.m. – 12.00      OR         2.00 – 3.00 p.m.                                                   The theme for the trails will be : POACHERS! WORKHOUSE INMATES! UNNATURAL DEATHS!                                                                    This will reflect the theme chosen for the Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days this year:  Freedom, Justice, Equality

FILM OF THE HISTORY OF HOLBEACH – A superb 10 minute film made by sixth form pupil, Jack Elms, as part of his BTEC Media course at University Academy Holbeach.

Come at any time between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. to meet the Trustees and Project Administrator.

We hope you will come and share your views about:  the future of the Chapels; our aim to secure further funding to refurbish them; what has been on offer in terms of workshops, events and open days during the past year thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding.

Light refreshments will be available.  We look forward to seeing you.
